Stella's Column in the Chicago Sun-times is reporting Usher have separated from Maneka, who is expecting a second child in December. I'm not shocked in the least. This union was a disaster waiting to happen. I give you a year and Maneka will be writing a tell all book detailing all of Usher's personal business; his love for men obviously etc.
If this is true, it's sad they waited until after a kid was born, and another one on the way to realize there marriage wouldn't work. People are backwards. However, it will be a lonnnnnnng time before Usher old fans put him back on his pedestal. This Tameka thing, not the marriage, wasn't a good look at all.
A guess hiring his mommy as manager a few weeks back was a foreshadowing. Developing....

As much as I hate on Maneka, I would actually be sad if this is true. I'm actually PROmarriage, and PROfamily. It's sad that majority of the prominent black role models have marital issues. This does nothing but continue the cycle of faulty marriages for generations. SMH.

umm, second child!?! WTH, where was I when this was announced? Anyway I'm with Jay C on this, I wanted this to work because there was so much hate surrounding it! Now whether it was love that brought them together or Tameka blackmailing the hell out of his ass, I don't know! But I do know that Tameka said the realest shit in that Essence Mag. Had she been anything other than Black and average, her marriage to Usher wouldn't of been an issue. Please Lord don't let his ass be Gay, I just couldn't take it!

I'm going to have to disagree here. I think majority of the fans didn't care about Usher getting married, or what Tameka looked like...her looks were just the icing on the cake. Their relationship started off on too many sheisty occurrences. His mom fired Tameka, Usher fired his mom (although they had a great working relationship for years, then the rumors circulated that she was seeing Usher even though she was married with kids.
I doesn't look good of any man, or women, to be dating and planning a marriage to someone, when they've walked out on another family. No we don't know all the details, but its still not a good look. That's like a drug fiend trying to rehabilitate themselves, but stopping in the crackhouse everyday. They may just be going in there to talk a friend into getting help, but from the outside it looks suspect.
Faulty marriages basically come from people who A). Had no business getting married in the first place B). Weren't completely honest with themselves and the other person with who they are and what they wanted.

I'll say this....It was all in Tameka's strategic plan...His Mama saw it...his fans saw it...BUT....when someone has there mind set to do something they tend to fall on deaf ears. And now all we can say is "We Told You So"...
I agree w/ Jay Curtis...I'm all for marriage & family too. But when you rush into things & don't truly get to know someone it's destined to fail.
and another thing I've noticed about Usher...He's let this woman consume his life...the relationship, his career, his family...that's NOT good...it's not healthy when you let your life revolve around one person.
If it's true...I don't feel bad for him...he brought it on himself...He should've stayed w/ Chilli...(smh)
