Dawn, of the former group Danity Kane, sat down with MTV and confirmed the rumors that the group is totally disbanded. We were all aware Aubrey and D. Woods got he boot, but what we didn't know is that Shannon left as well.
“As of right now, [Danity Kane doesn't exist],” Dawn Richard told MTV News on Wednesday (January 28). “It’s devastating……for me.” “You’ll see me and Drea [Aundrea Fimbres] try and pick up the pieces on our own [on this season's show] — pieces that we didn’t even make,” she continued. “We didn’t even break it and we’re trying to sweep it up ourselves. Puff invited all the girls to come back on this season and they chose not to. Only two of us showed up. That’s fine if that’s the choice. (Source)
A mess. Dawn will have a successful solo career but I don't know about any of the other girls. I really wanted to see this group succeed so this is unfortunate. I would say Diddy strikes again, but this disbandment had nothing to do with him. It came from people getting to grown for their britches.

I wanted DK to succeed as well. I blame the total disbandment on Diddy. Aubrey could've been replaced, but then he arbitraily puts D.Woods out and I think that's a lot of why Shannon threw up the deuce too.
Diddy knew he was wrong for how he handled D.Woods and he didn't apologize. Just said she could come back if she wanted. I know D.Woods has basically said she needed to leave, but still... Diddy can look at this situation and at least admit he played a part. The only person who needed to go was Aubrey and then it could've been over, but he blew it up.
I agree with A.Smith...Diddy always has these lavish ideas which are all well & great but when you sign an artist or create a group @ some point you HAVE to be held accountable for some things point blank.
and honestly for Dawn & the other chic to play victim is ludicrous to me! it was 5 girls & I'm pretty sure @ some point in time each of them played a role in the reason why they weren't getting along.
and I don't blame the girls for not coming back upon diddy's offer. He pretty much fired them...who in their RIGHT mind would come back?
@Odara
Actually he said himself that all of them were a headache...except for Dawn and Shannon. And this is the first group it seems he was doing everything right for. They had the advertisements, tours, etc. Both albums went platinum. As a business, I don't believe Diddy went wrong with them. If we were talking about Cheri Dennis it would be another story.

I see where you're coming from and I agree with some of it...but these were grown ass women. You can't go to your job popping off at the mouth like Aubrey and expect to keep a job. Furthermore, if one of your co-workers was a bad seed and got called on it, you wouldn't sit in the meeting defending them or acting like your boss was crazy to call the person out.
Yeah Diddy can be crazy, but he's still the CEO of that company. You have to respect that...or lose your job. It works that way in the real world, so they shouldn't think it's any different.
A.Red, you make a good point and I do agree, but if you're the end all be all person on a project and the project fails -- no matter what happened, everyone looks at you and as the project manager you have to accept some responsibility. I guess my beef with Diddy is that he points the finger when he oughta be looking at himself. This is group 3 (aight, 2.5) that hasn't worked and from the looks of things Day 26 ain't soaring like they oughta be either.
Each one of those women need to look and say "yeah, I did some messed up ish that contributed to this..." and at the same time Diddy can't act like he's blameless.
Ultimately they all made choices and here we are... so no matter who takes the blame or whatever, the consequences are here, right? Sad, sad, sad. What IS up with groups that they can't work out right?
I hate girl groups! They always break up and break your heart : (
Lol. But seriously Danity Kane's albums were actually good so it sucks they broke up.
